Our Research and Development department produces both market-oriented and customer specific product lines based on superior-quality technologies in the areas of polyurethane, polysulphides, butyl, silicone, silane-terminated polymers, solvent systems, dispersions, hotmelts, epoxides and acrylates. Based on a well-grounded chemical and physical knowledge of raw materials and analytical comprehension of the requirements profile for products, we develop product ranges that comprehensively meet demands. Product ranges typically consist of products from our various platform technologies, which with their specific strengths can be optimally developed in line with market requirements and diverse technical applications.
The aim is to develop platforms and to market products within these platforms that offer optimal properties in terms of mechanics, bonding and processing. With the help of modern analytical techniques, and often in close cooperation with manufacturers of raw materials, a deep understanding is developed of the raw materials that are to be used.
Detailed testing of the relevant mechanical parameters and bonding characteristics, taking into account the influence of aging due to light, heat, moisture or mechanical stress, is carried out using highly developed methods and with the addition of years of experience. For systems in which numerous organic components come into contact with one another, extensive tests are carried out in order to determine and clarify any side effects that occur in certain circumstances.
